A Little Bit Boho a Little Bit Rock and Roll.
I’ve always been a bit crunchy granola, so the boho/hippy vibe that’s gotten popular lately has made me have heart eyes for days and wanted to do a twist on it. When dreaming up this styled shoot I wanted it to be in the Badlands, first and foremost. Mainly because its one of my top number one most awesome favorite bestest national parks. But I also wanted an edgier vibe. When describing this to Mercedes, the florist at at Honeysuckle Hollow and the lovely women at Reflections Prom and Bridal they totally took it and ran with it! (Can we just have a huge shout out for women business owners?? This isn’t even on purpose, I just wanted to work with some of the best, kindest most talented businesses!) I found this rad crochet shawl and Mercedes based the flowers off of that and the Badlands/desert. Of course having Kylee model was a MUST and thankfully her boyfriend Sam agreed to tag along and bring the Rock and Roll feels we needed. Man you guys…. I don’t think I’ve stopped smiling since this shoot! It couldn’t have been more perfect and it invigorated my soul.
When I asked Sam to be a part of the shoot I asked if he had a jacket or vest or something that would fit. Sam and Kylee go to Freedom Motorcycle Church in Rapid City, a church where you’re welcome to attend in your motorcycle apparel. Sam wears this jacket to church where he also plays the drums so, of course I thought it was hella fitting. YES Just the Rock and Roll vibe I wanted. He’s also spent much more time hiking in the Badlands than me so he knew of a few back spots he’s hiked through that I was unaware of!
Isn’t this geometric design absolutely perfect? Helping the blend of boho and rock and roll perfectly.
And a HUGE shout out for this Bouquet by Honeysuckle Hollow. Not too fall, not too every day, and bringing in the dried wood mushrooms to help keep it punchy and unique. 
Also, they lovesssss each other. 
These necklace and earrings belonged to my grandma!!! And now they are my sister’s and momma’s respectively. UGH the perfect loan.
I tucked a couple flowers in his jacket 🙂
These two are nurses and told me how to keep the snakes away. Normally I’m actually totally fine with snakes but the more I thought about rattlesnakes the more I stomped around so I could keep all of my appendages. And Sam changed into a killer jean jacket *swoon* (am I allowed to say swoon? I LOVE YOU KYLE!)

I had to bring out the second bouquet for a few as well because it was AMAZING. Mercedes sent me with three bouquets to travel across the state with and I about gave her a heart attack when I called about something unrelated 5 minutes after I left her flower house in Sioux City. No your masterpieces did not just crash to the floor! I will try and never judge someone again for cautious driving as they may be traveling 6 hours with fragile artwork in their backseat YOU DON’T KNOW!

We had such a bomb time that we were continually thanking each other in circles the whole way home. What a blessing it is to be a part of such a beautiful world with incredible people like everyone listed above! YOU ALL ROCK AND I LOVE YOU FOREVER! AAAAAH INCREDIBLE!!!!
