Where to do Senior Photos in Northwest Iowa

Caeliegh and I had an incredible time walking through the forrest and hills of Oak Grove. If you are looking for somewhere to do your senior portraits near Orange City, Sioux Center, or Haywarden, Iowa this is the place! It’s magical and full of diverse plants and wildlife. You could even hear little frogs popping in the ponds waters. I keep saying that next time I go out there I absolutely need to bring my Kayak.

When you hit it up at golden hour it is absolutely dreamy.

Need tips for getting your senior portraits done?
1. Go in with a photographer you trust. Take some deep breaths, its supposed to be fun!
2. Every few clicks of the camera move your body a little bit, the angle of your head, your smile, where you have your arms. Change it up!
3. Maybe bring an extra pair of shoes if you’re going somewhere like a state park, so you have something comfortable to walk in if you want to be photographed in heels.
4. Practice poses beforehand! If you want you can look on instagram or Pinterest to see what you’re drawn to and what feels the most like you, and try to emulate that!
