Amanda and Corey are so cool y’all. Even though Amanda keeps insisting she’s not. She’s a brilliant baker, gin and tonic maker, monster in painting adder, and of course an extremely talented illustrator. Her mad skills and Corey’s crazy awesome mind are a perfect match. Put that all together with some Zelda game play and you have an awesome Friday night.
Amanda told me that on a bad day all she has to do is come home and sit here. Her head cozied under Corey’s chin. Then she feels safe and comforted and happy.

After a lot of research on food they make some of the best homemade hummus and all other good things that make your body feel great. She painted this desk to be their kitchen island in homage to Michael Pollan’s book “In Defense of Food: An Eater’s Manifesto”
I’m so thankful when couple’s let me into their bedroom for few a cozy in home portraits. This is where I know me and my husband spend a lot of our time talking and chilling with each other. And it was a great space for me to get to know how these two fell in love, why they got married, and everything in between!
We wanted to run outside quick, hoping to catch the flowering trees BUT of course that very afternoon, most of the flowers had blown away. We still got a couple after some mad searching!
I took out the Hassy for a couple shots. I still need to send in the film ;). I’ll share those with you when they come in!
Corey was an RD for West Hall/Hospers Hall at Northwestern College in Iowa. So I felt like some campus photos were necessary.
I went a little lighter for some of these sunset photos out on a gravel road. I wanted to bring in all of the colors and show the love even more between these two.
AAAAND we have my favorite portrait from the day. These two… always. so good.
All in all I know between Harry Potter, gaming, art, and just general awesomeness, we became friends with these two way to late in the game. As they move to North Carolina in a few short weeks I’m already planning our trip out there to visit! I pray that God blesses this new journey for you guys! We are so thankful to have met you and honored to have shared a little of your lives.
xoxo

Wow, so beautiful ?
Thank you, love!
You’ve really captured the essence of their relationship with a table, natural lighting and a road. That’s really beautiful.
